Safely Tour a Dunpar Home

safely view of a home door

Every single day in Toronto people tour, buy and sell homes. COVID-19 and social distancing have not changed that.

What has changed, however, are your options for how you go about those transactions.

There are now more ways than ever to view a home, select your features and sign legal papers. At Dunpar Homes we are going to great lengths to ensure our clients have a safe, stress-free, uniquely private, and enjoyable experience.  Here’s how:

We have new digital tours of our Dunpar homes on our website.  Virtual tours move you through the rooms of a property so you can see the space while 3D tours allow you to virtually put yourself into the space and “walk” around.  You can move from room to room and floor to floor without ever having to touch a thing.  You can also virtually measure a space to envision how you might lay out the room.

Dunpar Homes has also recorded guided walk-throughs of our properties with our Director of Sales and Marketing. Much like a property visit, she explains the unique elements and design features of each room and of the greater community.A couple sits on a couch viewing a home tour on a tablet.

Dunpar Homes is happy to offer you the option of a live video tour of a property, should that be preferable. Our sales team can provide a live, guided tour answering all your questions about the home while you remain safely socially and physically distanced in your current location.

We understand that you may still want to see a property in person before committing to a purchase. We are happy to ensure this is possible and are taking all necessary precautions to make sure everyone is protected during this process. You will be the only clients visiting the property at this time and the tour will be a private one.

We ask that all parties involved, both potential buyers, realtors and our sales team wear masks while viewing a property. If you do not have a mask, we will provide one.

We again ask that gloves be worn while touring a Dunpar home. If you do not have gloves, we will provide them.

We have hand sanitizer available on site for your use during your tour.

We have disinfecting wipes on every floor of our homes for you to use when viewing a property.

While our bathrooms truly are exquisite, during these times of caution, they are only for your eyes and not to be used otherwise.

Once you have viewed our homes, in any of the above ways, we can complete the entire sales process entirely virtually using secure digital document methods which meet or exceed the industry standard.

If you would still like to meet in person to conduct the sales transaction, that can be arranged, once again ensuring the strictest safety measures are followed.

Dunpar Homes has been building communities in the Greater Toronto Area for more than 30 years and has a reputation for excellence in all areas.

Safety is no exception.

We look forward to meeting with you and welcoming you to our Dunpar Homes family.

Why new townhomes in Toronto are a good investment

While many more just do not want the responsibilities or permanence of home ownership, with all the repairs and shoveling and mowing that go along with it. This is where new townhomes in Toronto and townhomes in Mississauga are an excellent investment opportunity. Townhomes satisfy a growing need for a specific type of housing in Toronto by addressing the issue of what the Canadian Centre for Economic analysis called in its 2018 report, “The Missing Middle”. “Townhouses, stacked townhouses or semis—products for people who don’t want to be in condos and can’t afford detached—fill the gap, and it’s been an issue for years,” Dunpar Homes COO
Michael DiPasquale recently explained to Canadian Real Estate Magazine.

A Few Units Still Left At Streetsville

Some fortunate home buyers could be celebrating the holidays next year in their own new townhome in Streetsville Centre, Mississauga’s ‘The Village in the City’. Only a handful of Dunpar’s Streetsville Centre units remain in this gem of a neighbourhood. Owners of 201 classic English Georgian Manor townhomes will enjoy residences with three bedrooms, double-car garages and upscale finishes just a two-minute walk from the GO Station. There are schools, parks stores, services, restaurants and entertainment just a short stroll away. With the major highways, transit, airports and two big cities – Toronto and Mississauga – close by, purchasers will enjoy the small-town charm of this ‘village’ with all the advantages of modern, big-city living.

The Need for Financial gifting for New Townhomes in Toronto

The Need for Financial gifting for New Townhomes in Toronto

But housing prices aren’t coming down, and with the current elevated mortgage rates, financial support courtesy of the so-called bank of mom and dad will remain a necessity going forward. Financial gifting has been entrenched in the GTA’s housing market for quite some time. As far back as 2015, the bank of mom and dad was a significant source of financing in the pre-construction and resale residential submarkets, and as the home prices have surged, so too have financial gifts. According to an analysis by CIBC, financial gifting in real estate purchases rose from 20 per cent in 2015 to 28 per cent six years later. That translated to an average of roughly $52,000 nine years ago, and $82,000 in 2021, despite the share of financial gift recipients remaining flat.
